Calling All Burlington County Residents!
Have you experienced flooding in your community?
Rancocas Project wants to hear about your experiences with flooding, your connection with water, and its consequences. How has it impacted you? How does it influence how you live now? How does it shape your plans for the future?
The project aims to collect stories from the community and use these narratives to create a Crankie, a storytelling device that scrolls as they are cranked by hand, creating moving pictures in real time. It will culminate in a live performance with music in October Spring 2025.
Join us on Thursday, August 1st, at 5 pm to meet the artist behind the work and share your stories as we seek to create something meaningful for our community!
This project is funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the New Jersey Coastal Management Program, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection – in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
Hosted by Perkins Center for the Arts with artist Jin Jung
