Many folks in our audience have been curious about how we collaborated to create the music, especially since we’re not nearby. I like to joke that we worked in trust, like neighbors banding together in a tough situation. We both knew we’d be fine as long as we understood what to expect from each other.

I let Julian know right off the bat that I couldn't predict how and when things would turn out and that I might not have a clear vision until the week before our deadline. Thankfully, he took it in stride and wasn’t flustered by my uncertainty. I am grateful for his patience and amazing talent; he has this incredible knack for creating an atmosphere that not only matches the stories I share but also captures their ambience with care.

Julian Cartwright is a working violinist, violist, guitarist, teacher, songwriter, composer, arranger, writer, and visual artist living in the Philadelphia area. His multidisciplinary background often brings him to interesting multimedia projects and collaborations such as The Rancocas Project.
